Green Hydrogen Meets Carbon Capture

Two of the most important decarbonization technologies — green hydrogen and carbon capture — are converging into a single value chain. When combined, they enable something neither can achieve alone: the production of carbon-negative chemicals and fuels from air, water, and renewable electricity.

The Convergence

Green hydrogen (produced by splitting water with renewable electricity) provides the hydrogen atoms. Carbon capture (from point sources or the atmosphere) provides the carbon atoms. Together, they are the inputs for synthetic methanol, sustainable aviation fuel, green ammonia, and dozens of other products that currently depend on fossil feedstocks.

Captisme's Carbex™ platform is designed specifically for this convergence. It accepts purified CO₂ from any source and green hydrogen from PEM or alkaline electrolyzers, combining them over our proprietary catalyst to produce chemical products at industrial scale.

Solving the Intermittency Problem

One of the biggest challenges in green hydrogen production is intermittency — solar and wind power are variable, but chemical reactors prefer steady-state operation. Carbex™ addresses this with a dynamic load-following capability that adjusts reactor throughput to match hydrogen availability, combined with buffer storage that smooths short-term variations.

The Opportunity
